guide to jailbreak ipod touch 3g version 4.0.2 pc model

I need a guide to help me jailbreak my ipod touch 3g version 4.0.2 PC model. Also do I need to save my SSHH's before I do this and need a guide for this if required. Thanks

I think you can jailbreak it using greenpoison, I've tried mine with 4.1 on it using greenpoison and it works great. Yep, it's advisable to have blobs for your iPod.

GP only works on 4.1. You can upgrade to 4.1 and do so, or stay on 4.0.2 and use Limera1n

Okay what is easier upgrading to 4.1 or use Limera1n? Also how do I save the SSHH's?

They're equally easy really. The only real diff is if you jb with Limera1n where you are right now, you save yourself the time it takes to upgrade. You do need SHSHs to go to 4.1. You can't get them now if you don't already have them. You can only save 4.2.1. You can check/save with TinyUmbrella

Also once I jailbreak are there any games or other apps that I can use without a wifi connection?

There is all the regular apps, and lots from cydia also.
