I was wondering if there are any jailbreaks for iOS 4.2 cause I was dumb and upgraded

Yeah sure, got my ipod touch 2g jailbreaked with redsn0w. Just make sure to run it in compatibility and admin mode..

I have an iPod touch 4th gen, I thought the redsnow was for only iPod touch 2g mc model. , if you're right then is it tethered or untethered?

You didnt say that you got a 4g model. Just ask google. And btw it worked untethered on my 2g mb model. I think everything above mb is tethered but im not sure.

Shouldnt the shatter exploit work which greenpois0n uses i think? Not sure if its tethered though.
