4th gen 32 gb ipod brand new best way to jailbreak
ok this ipod is brand new and never been connected to itunes i would like to have it jailbroke and ready to go b4 xmas but reading there are a few programs with different directions to what works and what dosnt. Should i use the newest os or download a previous 1. Which jailbrek program shoud i use what itunes should i use and they have been tested with a 4th gen ipod?

hopefully firmware is 4.1. if so simply use limera1n or greenp0sin

i believe there is no firmware on it until i hook it up to itunes but not sure. Can someone confirm this for me and maybe get me directions so i can force 4.1 to it.

The firmware is on it already. It just needs to be activated with itunes. Once you do this you can see what firmware it has on it and you can proceed from there.

ok plugged it in and it does carry 4.1. Can someone maybe help me and link me to the best jailbreak for this unit?

I just jailbroke my sister's iPodTouch 4G 32GB running on iOS4.1 yesterday using Greenpois0n rc3 for Windows on my laptop which is running on WindowsXP SP3 and iTunes v10 installed..works great.
