Once you have greenpois0n downloaded onto the computer you're using, upgrade/restore your ipod to 4.1, then open graanpois0n and follow the instructions from there.

Nope, you have to download it from a website, jailbreakme.com has only ever worked on 3 different Firmwares(4.0, 4.0.1, & 3.? Or 2.?) Originally Posted by Blacktouch2000

Redsn0w 0.9.6b1. But some iPod Touch 2G don't take it well or at all. It's supposed to tho. Might as well use Greenpois0n if you have access to a comp to use Redsn0w anyway.

It's the model of your iPod...
In Settings, General, About and check the model number. It'll either start with MB or MC

Jailbreaked my iPod on 4.1 yesterday Cydia said it was re-organizing hit the home button lost EVERY THING!!!!!!
