Tried jailbreaking ipod touch 1st generation. But didnt work?

Hello guys, i've an ipod touch first generation version 3.1.3 (7E18) and model MA623LL. I saw a video to jailbreak the ipod touch from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 and i did it. But after i jailbrake it had not jailbroken. I mean i tried adding games and applications through itunes but did not work. It gave me an error. I used redsnow 0.9.4 and also iPod1,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore ipa file to jailbreak it. But did not seem to work. After doing so i checked the ipod version in both itunes and ipod touch both read 3.1.3. So how to go about it? how to get it jailbroken? please guys any suggestion would be helpfull. Thanks in advance

Use spirit for jailbreaking 3.1.3, 3.1.2 or any firmware below.
