I keep getting an eorro while trying to update my Ipod 2nd generation 8GB to Ios 4.1 I am using the newest version of Itunes and everytime I try to do the update it says, "An Unknown Error has occurred (3014)" anybody know how to fix this error or what it means? Thank you

This is the method I used to fix an iPhone 3GS that had been stuck in recovery mode with error 3014 in itunes. None of the data had been lost and the iPhone 3GS lived on.

Here is the fix for error 3014 in itunes (tested on windows):

1) Download limera1n
2) Run limera1n
3) Plug in your device
4) Put your device into DFU mode (look it up if you don't know how)
5) Done!

Limera1n will auto detect your device in DFU mode and get your device up and running (along with being jailbroken).

Here's some help if you try to jailbreak or downgrade and get stuck in DFU mode. NOTE: this will NOT work in recovery Mode. To kick your iDevice out of DFU mode, hold the home and power button until your iDevice boots up. Everything should be back to normal.
