Upgrading Ipod Touch 2nd Gen.

At the moment i have a 2nd 16GB Ipod touch on 3.0 what is already Jailbroken.
I was just wondering if there is anyway to upgrade to somthing like 4.0 without losing all my music.

Pretty new too all this so any help will be appriciated.

2) do you have your SHSHs for either 4.0 or 4.0.1 saved?

I also have the probelm that i can't get onto the settings, it starts to load up with a blank page and then closes again. I was hoping it would sort its self out with the update. I have a feeling it isnt a MC model, not sure though.

I have 4.0 saved already yeah.
