Hello!

I currently have a 3rd gen iPod Touch on 3.1.2 jailbroken with spirit and I'm trying to upgrade to iOS4 (not 4.0.2 :P)

I have SHSH blobs for 3.1.3 & 4.0 on Cydia & on my comp with TinyUmbrella. I also have the 3.1.3 & 4.0 .ipsw firmware files downloaded as well.

My problem is...every time I try to Shift+Update or DFU + Shift+Restore either firmware 3.1.3 or 4.0, I usually end up with a 3002/3004 error or a white screen (preparing ipod for update/restore) but it hangs for a long time and then I get a 1602 error.

Also, back when apple WAS signing iOS 4.0, I tried to regular update and regular restore my iPod but it would reach the "preparing ipod for update/restore" screen, hang forever on a white screen, and then give me a 160X error...

Since I am unable to successfully Shift+Restore using my current SHSH blobs, I'm afraid to update to 4.0.2 and the Shift+Restore back to 4.0...I don't wanna lose my jb *shrugs*

Any other solutions out there besides the above?
