Jailbreaking my ipod touch 2g

So i have a ipod touch 2g and last month i downloaded os 4.0 and i want to jailbreak it now. Is there a program to download so i dont have to use restore on itunes. And if there is none what is the easiest way to jail break. Thanks

You can use redsn0w 0.9.5 to jailbreak that, it didn't work for me, but it has worked for others. I always get stuck on the "Waiting for reboot", but other people have fixed it but none work for me and some others. Chances are it will work for you though, so I'd try that.

upgrade to 4.1 and jailbreak with readsn0w 0.9.6b2. otherwise, jailbreak with 0.9.6
