iPod 16GB 2.2.1 Jailbreak - Fast response please :D

Hi all,

My mate is looking to jailbreak his iPod 16GB 2.2.1, as you can see he has never done any updates thru iTunes.

So I was wondering what is the best way to jailbreak it please?

I have heard that apple still sign 3.1.2 so should I upgrade it to 3.1.2 and then just use spirit ?

Or should I find a jailbreak for version 2.2.1

Upgrade. Most if not all cydia apps and app store apps require 3.0+ now
