    Default Wierd?

OK, I had an iPod touch 3G brought before Dec 2009 and jailbroke it with spirit. It had been backed up to iTunes 9. I then dropped it down the loo and had to claim on the house insurance to get a new one (this month). Whilst I was waiting for it to arrive I updated iTunes to 9.2. When it arrived did a restore on it and it came back on with my fake carrier name and battery % showing on the status bar. Then proceeded to update to ios4 and it's still there. is this wierd?

When you do restore from backup some parts get left in the code of the backup. It can cause other issues also. That is why everyone always says to setup as new instead of restoring from backup to avoid conflict with left over jailbreak code.
