iPod touch 2nd generation with iOS4

I upgraded my software on my ipod touch second generation to iOS4 and multitasking doesn't seem to work. Is it even supported on the 2g ipod touch? If it isn't can anyone give me a list of what is supported I can't find anything about it anywhere.

I have a 2g on ios4. Multitasking and home screen background DOES NOT work.

Ok thanks that's what I thought. Kinda sucks because I wanted to try it out before putting it on my iphone 3gs.

I have iOS 4 running on my iPT3, don't worry about trying it out, just download. Many times better than JB IMO.

I would update to iOS4 on my iphone but apparently I need to jump through a hoop with one hand while rubbing my head with the same hand to update it if I jailbroke it using spirit.
