iPod Touch restore error 20, DFU error 1601. Help please

I have a disabled 3rd gen 8 gb iPhone Touch. When I try to restore the ipod I get an error 20. When I put it in DFU mode, I get an error 1601.
I've tried installing other firmware but I'm getting an error that it's not compatible. Maybe I'm not doing it right or using the right version of iTunes.

Can someone help?

You can go to the apple store and try to restore it using one of their laptops. Or contact apple.

Giving a jailbroken ipod touch to apple store not sound great....I have the same problem as you and I'm just waiting the ios 4 release to see whether it solve the problem
