A way to upgrade to iOS4 without restoring possible?

I'm wondering if there will be a way to upgrade ipod touches to the iphone os 4 without restoring. I really dont want to lose all my app data and all my jailbroken apps. Anyone?

not possible not to lose jailbroken apps.

u could backup and then restore it but since 4.0 is a major update, that also mite not work

if you don't want to lose jailbreak apps, back them up in rock witha RockID and if you don't want to do that you could always just write all of them down and re-download. And as for AppStore apps, just sync with iTunes because with from I know there is no way to update to 4.0 without a restore. It's an extremely quick process, though.

[EDIT] And with any restore, you'll lose app data, sorry.
