I need help jailbreaking with pwnagetool

Ok so i have tried redsn0w and blackra1n but they didnt help me jailbreak so a friend said try pwnagetool so i tried it and everything went smoothly TIL i had to restore with the custom firmware, now when i selected the custom firmware it started restoring with it but it just said preparing to restore for like 5min then gave me an error, i tried it 3 times and got this error (1611) can anyone help me? i have a ipod touch 2g non MC model with 3.1.3

put it in dfu mode then restore it with apple then use redsnow0.9.4 to jailbreak

I have tried redsn0w .9.4 but this is what happened,


I tried using the 3.1.2 firmware i downloaded but it wouldn't reconise it so i tried it with the 3.0 firmware and after it said the rest takes place on the device and everything was done it was stuck in recovery mode and all i could do is restore, i tried tons of methods to get out of recovery mode but none worked so i tried pwnagtool but this happened, it wont let me downgrade to 3.1.2 or 3.0 and i dont want to downgrade any lower but when i tried downgrading with 3.0 and 3.1.2 it said preparing to restore for like 10mins til it gave me error 1611..

then download new 3.1.2 2nd gen file
then redsnow 0.9.4
follow them instructions then come back and thank me

well i can verify that it worked for me twice i would check the size of the download(make sure it is all there) and restart all over also i will upload the file i have later through megaupload it does work for sure

well i noticed your tag says you have a mac sorry but i have where others havve had the same problem i can confirm it works with windows 7 and windows vista

Use Pwnage tool to put it in DFU, there is a box in the top right

I finally jailbroke my iPod here's what I did: I restored to 3.1.3 then tried restoring with 3.1.2 and it worked and then I tried jailbreaking with blackra1n and it worked
