help with 3G 8GB tethered jailbreak with 3.1.2

I've jailbroken my ipod touch with ease. Got Cydia installed easily, but when ever I try to install an app from Cydia, it freezes while restoring (picture of usb cable and the itunes symbol). SO, my question is.....is there any solutions to get round it? Maybe even a different jailbreaking program, other then blackra1n (the one I used).

Dude, the ipod touch 3g is a tethered jailbreak
and whenever you reboot or turn it off
you will NEED to re-jailbreak

I would say use Blackra1n too jailbreak it and download cydia from the blackra1n app, Then when it reboots and you get that USB/iTunes plug in the iPod and click Make it rain on the JB program its a VERY simple Jailbreak look online for some tutorials on it.
