Jailbreak 3G 64gb Ipod Touch MC Model?

Perhaps I'm am misunderstanding something, but did you just say that the ipt3g 32 & 64gb MC models are not jailbreakable?
If so, you are sadly mistaken. I own and have jailbroken my ipt3g GB MC model with no problem (other than it is tethered). the only reason you can't jailbreak is if you recently purchased it, or updated to the latest 3.1.3 FW.

Timka, I have already stated that you CAN NOT jailbreak any iPod Touch 3G/32&64gb after Jan.2010 with MC models it is fact so any claims other than that are false!!

Okay, I learned a few things. Even though you got an MC model of Ipod Touch, you have to see when did you buy it. Ipt3g bought before this year have the firmware of 3.1.2 which can be jailbroken (tethered) but ipt3g bought this year can't because the firmware is updated to 3.1.3 which for now is unjailbreakable.

I really hope that I'm correct. I helped 2 of my friends to jailbreak their ipod touch 3G. One of it is bought last year with the firmware 3.1.2 and the other from this year with firmware 3.1.3. I was able to make a tethered jailbreak on the ipt3g with the fw 3.1.2.

And, YES, MB model can be jailbroken without any problem. NO PROBLEM at all as I helped ANOTHER friend which is an ipt2g with MB model number.

I have ipod 8gb 3.1.3 MC model.and after this my ipod was 3.1.2 and I inistall jailbreak but ******* update comes up and it updated aoutomatic and now my ipod is 3.1.3 mc model and I cant inistall cydia.how can i fix this? sombudy help me plssss???

I cant restore to 3.1.2 and maybe my ipod is lock : how can i fix this?

If you bought a new iPod Touch 3G and it came with 3.1.3 firmware already in it, than that means it was shipped from the factory like that and (NO) you can not jailbreak it yet maybe by end of June by (MuscleNerd/DevTeam)

I believe you are correct.

All (MB) models and even some (MC) models before Dec.2009 can be jailbroken, it is just the ones that were shipped with the 3.1.3 firmware already in them can (not) be jailbroken.

I am not sure, but i thought you could downgrade the 8 gig ones to 3.1.2 using the ipt2g 3.2.1 FW. Or is it just if you updated it yourself?

You can't downgrade because apple do not sign for the 3.1.2 firmware anymore.

We shall sit and wait for the jailbreak.

i have a ipt3g 32 gig...bought last month..it had and still has the 3.1.2 firmware ...if ive read correctly some here have had luck with jb it...or ?....ive tried and with no sucess so i must assume i have one of the newer models...(been up for way too long and im silly tired mods delete if my post is annoying)

You have an ipt3g 32GB with 3.1.2 firmware? Then you should be able to jailbreak it, but only tethered. Try using the redsn0w method.

yeah...and ill try it on a different machine...maybe ill have better luck...this is my second ipod...the first one was jb fine...
did it...so i reckon i had an older mc model...maybe now i can go to bed.

Here is the Way how you can do it !
Spirit or Spirit V2.
ITunes V9 Or V9.1 but not V9.2.
Plugin IPod with USB connectic.
Update FW V3.1.3 with ITunes (Restore with Shift key press).
Close ITunes.
Execute Spirit - When it finds your IPod its ready to Jailbreak.
By single click of your mouse button - your IPod Jailbrokan !
