Brand new Itouch, crashing with Cydia

I just today, traded my zune for an iPod touch, and decided to jailbreak it. Everything went smoothly at first, I bought 3.0 FW, and ended up downloading it so i could JB. I used redsn0w 0.7.2, and everything went fine. Until i opened Cydia, and it would close after 8-10 seconds. I made sure to download only Cydia and not Icy. I cannot find a fix for this after looking for a while tonight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you restarted your device? Have you restored it and tried re-jailbreaking?

well, got it fixed. I found and used redsn0w .8 and not its working fine
