when i turn it on it shows the usb->itunes thing...to connect itouch into itunes(which i did) and it it says "cannot connect to ipod touch because of passcode, you must enter passcode on ipod first" but the thing is i can't enter my passcode.. coz the thing appearing on the screen is the connect itouch into itunes as ive said above.. ive tried all what ive read from different sites hold power button and home button for 10secs then leave holding the home button etc to appear the restore mode in itunes..

then i did, restored it then leads me to downloading software update.. but everytime im almost finish as in 96% complete, this problem shows always

it happened to me twice now..

is there anything i can do to fix my ipod touch?

You could download the firmware from a different source then when it comes time to restore, select that firmware.
