cant restore ipod touch 2g trying to jailbreak it

hello i am almost finished jailbreakin my ipod touch 2g the only problem is i get an error message saying could not restore ipod error 1 now i dont know what this means could anyone help me. first i put it in dfu mode like the guide told me to put a couple of commands in terminal (iam using a mac) wait till the white screen appears on my 2g touch go to itunes press option and click to restore custom ipsw to jailbreak it then that's when the problem occurs i get a blue bar saying that it is extracting software to restore ipod then i get the error message could not restore ipod error message 1 can any one help new to this just need some answers

This happened to me when i rejailbroke my ipod cause the first time is was really screwy, but all you have to do is find the download for firmware 2.1.1(google search it), not 2.2.1 because it will have the same error message. Then update it too 2.2.1 in itunes and now you restart the jailbreaking process and it should work.
