What are the drawbacks of jailbrekaing
I have read all about all the cool stuff you can do with jailbreaking on many different sites but I haven't seen many drawbacks. I've heard rumors about it hurting battery life... does it really?, and dont care about the warranty part. If there are any drawbacks, what are they?

Jailbreaking in itself does not hurt your battery. Some of the apps you can install use up more battery life because they run additional processes all the time. Read the article below for a much more in depth explanation.

You will become so enthused with the iphone that you will most likely never put it down....may loose friends, your job...girlfriend, fiance or wife. But it will be ok, cause you'll have a really cool phone

Terminal is garbage and not worth it as Quickfreedom is a 15 minutes process and does it all for you. Very simple. Love to see the Pwned! boot logo hehe friends at work laugh cause it's nothing they have ever seen before. Also love the fact that It can power cycle! WOW what a hack ;-)
Always stressed when it was tethered that if the battery died I wouldn't have a computer near by.. lol hated that process..
As for the wife losing, I would toss this thing in a heart beat for my wife. :-)Best Regards,
Steven Myers

It took me about an hour to restore my
iPod touch from backup though and about 20 min to sync everything back to it. Will I just need to firmware upgrade in the future? The dev team says it is "jailbroken permanently"
