Hey everyone i just found a ipod touch today it has minor starches on it looks light it fell out of a pocket or something. But heres the thing who ever owned it before placed a passcode on it. How do i get this off so i can restore it and make it my own????

If you are moral and can't find the owner no matter how hard you tried, you can simply restore it (put it in Restore or DFU to avoid any possible confusion with your computer, as it is someone's iPod and is registered with someone else).

Do the moral thing though (really), and if it's fruitless, then it can be yours.

yeh man, you can phone apple an pass on your details to them with the serial number an they will contact the owner with your information.

do the right thing man, how would you like it if you lost your ipod, youd be gutted, take the advice fron Jeckel an return it

i had my ipod stolen from me. it was right before i got my iphone. if they would have at least asked i probably would have gave it to them. its the thought that counts. try to return it. if not do a full restore on it.

yeah dude. i found out who did it too....it didnt turn out so well for him. i was not happy at all. invited some people over for a party and they stole my stuff. so i returned the favor
