So if 2.2 is working with the iVoice has anyone tried to use fring with the TouchMods headset or dongle?

Sweet. Have you tried it with any of the voice recording apps? I'm crossing my fingers for that because I really wanna use my iPod to record interviews rather than having to carry around both my iPod and my digital recorder.
I've been holding off upgrading to 2.2 because I didn't think there was anything worth upgrading for. Maybe I'll do it just to try to find something that works with the Touchmods mic.

Well, it works with Midomi as well, but if you can find a recording app that will actually install on your iPod, then maybe it will.

Oh yeah... I forgot iTunes now prevents me from installing apps that are not supposed to be supported by the iPod Touch. I was able to test a few back before that release. I haven't tried anything lately that says it is compatible with the second gen iPod Touch, though. Does iTunes know the difference between a first and second generation Touch?

I am pretty sure that there is a difference in the firmware between the first and second generations; at least the naming convention leads to that assumption as it is Ipod1... and Ipod2... If that is the case I would think iTunes would tell what iPod you had that way, but I could be completely off base though. Apple is a strange beast with this stuff it seems.
