Ever since I upgraded to iTunes 8.0, my iPod can't be restored using a PC. Everytime I try to restore it, my computer says "can't find driver Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)." According to Apple, there is no such driver.

When I plug my iPod into a Mac, it is found by the computer to be in Recovery Mode.

Is anyone else having this problem? How can I fix it?

If you haven't tried it already, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes should help...

If that doesn't work, I'd search around some more or send Apple Tech Support an e-mail.

download the itunes installation package and unpack it with winrar or something like that....in it is the driver for the mobile device service...i would personally just do the itunes install and reinstall

Thanks for responding...the newest update of iTunes fixed this problem. I think it just had something to do with Vista...
