iTunes thinks my 2.1 iPod is an iPhone

I just synced my iPod with iTunes after I used quickpwn, and I got a pop-up asking about ringtones. I blew it off. Then, I checked my iPod Settings and it says I have an iPhone, and there's a new tab at the top for Ringtones. There hasn't been any differences yet, but I just want to see if there's something I can do.

You could reinstall iTunes. Or you could restore (if you have the time) and see if that changes things.

there have been increasing problems about this. Except they were on the iPod 2nd gen. Hhmmm.

Well, I just restored it, and it still thinks it's an iPhone. I'm getting confused.

Definitely take it back into apple and be like "WTF" and raise a big stink and act all mad so they just give you another one on the spot. (Or maybe an iPhone if you're lucky .

Did you use an app called transformer by any chance? The same thing happened to me, restore didn't work, re-pwned it , used cydia reinstalled transformer, and undid everything. The problem was gone after that.

Well now my computer treats it like a camera. haha when I plug it in a get a pop-up asking what I want to do with the Apple Camera :/
