i have the jailbreak needed for 3.1.2 and have it successfully done.

YOU WILL NEED:

1: 3.1.2 firmware located here - iPod and iPhone Firmware Download
2: Blackra1n located here - blackra1n.com/

ok so after you have downloaded the 3.1.2 firmware, you then go into your itunes and Shift+Click on update, find the firmware and select it, make sure you have your generation of ipod before you download the firmware, 1st gen wont work with a 2nd gen ipod. then after you have successfully updated your ipod, open Blackra1n with your ipod connected, if itunes pops open ignore it. click on "Make It Ra1n" let it run through its thing.


after you have that done on your ipod go into the Blackra1n app and download Cydia or Rock.

and your done!

after jail breaking ipod 3.1.2 how do put the applications that I hav in my itunes? it keeps sayin error when I try to sync them to my ipod. What am i missing? I hav black rain now what? IF YOU CAN HELP ME PLZ THANK YOU SO MUCH

go into cydia and try to find appsync for 3.1.2 this allows u to sync like normal

hi guys. I have tried to jailbreak my ipod touch 3.1.2. when i click make it ra1n it just says its waiting for device and dosnt do anything??? I have done my iphone the same way with no problems as well as a couple of my friends. has this problem got something to do with the fact that its a touch??? someone please help!!

so your device doesnt reboot?
if that is the case, open itunes and if it says its in recovery mode, then restore it with the 3.1.2 and then run BlackRa1n again.

So I went through with everything updating my 2g to 3.0 while jailbreaking and all it did was go to itunes and update 2.1 somehtin...

Nevermind, I did the 3.1.2 and it worked like a charm! THX!

as of now, 3.1.3 is NON-Jailbreakable

It will work, jailbreaking just got better

OK my first post and im probably gonna annoy someone lol but im female and blonde so thats my excuse.
I have a 2g (I think,it has no external speakers so im assuming it is,i got it 2nd hand) and its 2.2.1 and want to jailbreak it please.
Im using windows vista ta :0)

You have to add a source in cydia not sure which one though

i installed bossprefs and one other app from cydia. didn't work. the app says that ssh is active
