Many people have posted threads asking whether or not they should jailbreak their iPod. For me, there is no debate.
EVERYONE should jailbreak his/her iPod.

Why, you ask. Well, there is no downside to it. With Quickpwn available for Mac and PC, you can be installing free apps from Cydia and Installer in under 20 minutes. There are not as many benefits now as there once were, because you can install apps through the App Store, but there are a few either way:
1) Free, good apps
2) Nice themes
3) Ability to boot your iPod if it ever gets stuck on the boot logo
4) Modify the UI in Customize
5) Turn off Apple's killswitch

And, as mentioned, there is no downside.

Why You Should NOT Jailbreak

1) You'll only download a bunch of apps that don't work as well as they used to
2) You'll ugly that thing up with horrible mis-matched themes and random icons that..Just.Look.Bad.
3) You'll end up restoring every 2nd day cos your apps are slow, buggy, conflicting with other programs, and taking up valuable space
4) You'll only wonder why Customize isn't applying your ugly assed themes correctly
5)

1) Pacman clones, SSH, terminal, text editor... All work and free.
2) You will use winterboard that can apply themes flawlessly, and have wallpapers that change depending on the time of day.
3) You will end up restoring a lot less because you have a command line and SSH to fix most of Apple's bugs
4) You will use Winterboard instead of Customize

and 5) dTunes.
