downgrade help (stuck on iTunes restore)

my ipod came with 1.1.3 and I went to downgrade it to 1.1.1 an ld it gave me an error 1 using the downgrade meothod that everybody uses I forgot what its called so anyhoo I tried to get it into dfu mode but was unsecessful and now its stuck on the iTunes logo and what do I do now?

itune logo means you are in DFU, reboot your phone and restore to 1.1.1 and do all over again

The downgrade process that i used says that the screen is soposed to be blank and it wont work if its not but it wont let me downgrade it says error 1 then i have to reconect my ipod which wont leave the itunes thing
AAAAHHHHH I WILL DIE IF I BRICK MY IPOD TOUCH..........
