[Help Request] Error: iPod is disabled
Hello everyone,
Haven't been around in a bit, but I have an iPhone and used this community to learn to modify it. My friend has come to me with his iPod Touch which is not working, and I immediately assumed I could find help here.
When turned on, I get a red bar at the top that reads "iPod is disabled, connect to iTunes"
It also has a lock icon on the top bar, if that means anything.
If more information is needed to assess the situation let me know and I will find out.
Thank you all in advance and kind regards,
LogicFree

Possibly. If that is the case, how can I correct this for him?

Connect it to "his" itunes, and see where it goes from there.

Apparently that is not an option. I'm like 2 people from the owner who doesn't have access to the original iTunes. Basically this was given to a friend of a friend of mine to fix after someone moved here with it. That guy passed it to my friend to fix, because he couldn't. My friend called me because I own an iPhone and mod it and he knows that.
So, I basically need to hand a working iPod back to my friend, if possible. If not, I need know what the next best solution is considering I can't get access to the original iTunes.
Regards,

Put the ipod into dfu mode then restore it via any itunes. This will delete everything off it though.
DFU mode:
1. Turn the ipod off.
2. Hold the power and home button for 10 seconds.
3. Let go of the power button, continue to hold the home button for another 30 seconds.
4. Screen should remain blank, now restore via itunes.
