    Post Dev Team 1.1.3-3 Tip

Get everything all prepped and then just before you run the "Upgrade" app, upload a copy of the 1.1.3 firmware (iPod1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore.ipsw) to /var/root/Media. The upgrade will see it there and you won't have to download anything. Much faster process, just did my new Touch in about 10 minutes.

Yeaa actually if you extract the .dmg file from the package and place it there it saves time in extraction... you do know your pc is much faster at extracting than your iPhone, right?

Very true but then we'd have to get into this whole vfdecrypt and whether or not its legal.... and posting the key... yada yada yada... simple enough for most folk to just upload the ipsw file.

    Thanks for the tip CyberGreg.

May I know the 10 minutes only duration is achieved with or without the "Restore" option (see below) in Upgrade?

Is it unsafe if i say no? I like my music contents and settings as it is. I don't really wanna delete it...again...

Thanks for the tip CyberGreg, it'll save me much needed time!!

(Question: The dev team update doesn't need the soft upgrade does it? All i need to do after doing it is downloading the 1.1.3 apps and wiggly fun stuff package?)
