I did everything successfully...or so I thought..

Well everything went well, I followed every step. But right in the middle of when it is restoring (with the custom firmware) i Get this error: The iPod "iPod" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (6).

What am I supposed to do?

Like I said I followed everything 100%...

HELP PLEASE!


EDIT: I know I am doing it right, because I can see my custom boot picture when it is "restoring" my custom firmware.

i used that custom firmware and BAM first try it worked dont know why my own didnt work for some reason but this one worked perfectly fine hope it helps

This worked for me as well. I just updated my Touch to the 2.0.1 and had to use the iPod1_1_2.0.1_5B108_Custom_Restore.ipsw to get past that error message.

The only thing now is...installer is being a *****. I have 4.6b when will the REAL installer come out, not this beta ****?

As soon as they work out all of the bugs. It is hard to port apps from 1.X to 2.X so stop whining. You should have gotten Cydia too.
