accidentally installed iphone software on ipod

I just tried to update my friends iPod to 2.0 using winpwn. By accident I selected a iphone version of firmware while running winpwn. Now the iPod is has no response and the screen is black. I am able to get ITunes to recognize it by holding the home and power button but when I try to restore to a version of iPod firmware I get an iTunes error 5. How can I get the right firmware on the ipod??

hey buddy i had the same problem just now
all you gotta do is keep holding down the power button and home button during the whole restore process. it worked for my touch
