Okay my question is... what program do you use when you jailbreak a 2.0.1 iTouch?

Do you use WinPwn or PwnageTool or any other program?

When i bought my iTouch it was at 1.1.4 firmware and i updated it to 2.0.1 using itunes.

I'd love some more information as well...

I have a jailbroken 1.1.4 and I REALLY want to get up to 2.0.1 so I can use both Installer 4/Cydia and iTunes apps.

Could someone make some sort of tutorial for WinPwn? I think I understand it for the most part but I'm not sure about some of the options, such as the YouTube Activation Fix.

I tried in Pwnage Tool 2.0.2 , but it failed to recognise the firmware 'iPod1,1_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.ipsw'.

So, I switched to use WinPwn 2.0.0.4 on XP. This time I successfully created the Custom .ipsw file and I also managed to Pwned the iTune. However, when I tried to restore the Custom .ispw firmware in iTune, I got aN error message (code ^6) from iTune and my iPod Touch remained in the 'connecting to iTune' screen. Finally, I've to use iTune default restore to completely restore the firmware to the latest version 2.0.1.

I don't know what's wrong in my WinPwn steps, but I hope someone can really provide a more detail steps on how to hack the iPod Touch to 2.0.1.

Thanks for all your help.
I now have a jailbreaked 2.0.1 ipod touch.

I used this video from youtube.
And it worked flawlessly.
I'm sure this video will help out a lot of other people.

if using pwnage tool.... after you've made the ipsw. bundled, you have to CLOSE pwnage tool. (for mac at least) or else itunes wont let you use the custom made .ipsw.
