annoying january software update?

please can someone tell me how to remove that annoying january software update message every time i plug in my ipod touch?

What operating system do you have?

For Windows:

go to windows explorer in the address bar put in %appdata% and this will take you to where you need to go, look for a folder called apple computers (or somethin like that) then browse in to there look for the itunes folder then I believe its the ipod update folder and in there will be ipsw file(s)

For Mac:

I believe it is located in ~/library/itunes/mobile applications
