Getting and error message when trying to connect to itunes
my ipod touch has been working very well, but when i turned it on this morning. the screen says "ipod is disabled, connect to itunes" but when i connect to itunes, it says "itunes cannot connect to ipod (D.F.P.) because it is locked with a passcode. you must enter your passcode on the ipod before it can be used with itunes".
the problem is i can't even put in my passcode because i keep getting the "ipod is disabled" everytime i turn on the ipod. does anyone know how to fix this? i just want to do a restore on it
i have tried putting it in restore mode. it won't work. i hold the power button and the home button for the longest time, and the screen will still stay blank. i tried turning it on, holding both buttons, and when the phone turns off, i let go of the power button while holding the home button, but it still doesn't go into restore mode.
plug in, hold in both for ten seconds after which you release the lock key and continue holding the home button, you screen should be off but itunes should recognize for restore
