Previously unlocked phone -> 2.0

So I'm quite confused about my situation and i can't very well find the answer to what seems to be a more unique case... I purchased my 1st gen iPhone from a classmate who unlocked it before offering to sell it to me. I slipped in my regular sim card with no data plan and ended up having to pay $800 in EDGE network charges. So just last month, I purchased a legit iPhone data plan, from AT&T over the phone. So if I upgrade to 2.01 or 2.0 (whatever it is), will my phone be bricked?

And by the way, i jailbroke it about 2 months ago, if that means anything.

don't upgrade!!!!!!! you can use t mobile for a $6 (six dollar) unlimited internet plan. i am pretty sure that your phone will be bricked if you upgrade.

in the installer there is a patch made by BigBoss and it is 5.99 T-zones internet
