Tutorial connected via USB to iPhone with WinSCP or Putty (WITHOUT WIFI)
To connect the iPhone via USB as if you were WITHOUT wifi only have to follow this tutorial.
Need:
1 .- iPhone Tunnel Suite
3 .- OpenSSH installed on the iPhone
Guide:
1 .- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
2 .- Download the iPhone Tunnel Suite and the open.

3 .- Click on iPhone Tunnel and will open the Launcher (we will leave open)

4 .- The following is click on WinSCP and choose the Spanish Language (we're downloaded at the beginning of the tutorial and must be placed inside the installation folder iPhone Tunnel, within WinSCP)
5 .- Choosing new connection and fill in the data as it comes into the picture below:
user:root User: Root
pass: alpine pass: Alpine
SPC protocol

6 .- Click Connect and Ready, you are already connected to your iPhone via USB.

Sure, its fun to SSH or whatever into the iPhone or iTouch, but its slower than using TotalCommander to get in.

I don't believe so. I want to use the internet from my computer on my iphone (my pc does not have a wireless card).
All those tethering solutions are for the reverse, use the phone's internet on your PC.

It is also possible to connect via USB in Total Commander. Just download the Ipod plugin from t-pot - Google Code
Works a charm. And works on all versions of firmware. Currently running 2.0 on my iTouch.

This isnt working on the new iphone software 2.0.1 ..I can't seem to login

Take a look on another guide to connect your iphone to the Internet via USB cable. Without wifi, without gprs/edge fee!

When I press the iphone tunnel, the launcher opens up then quickly closes, sayin fatal error software caused connection abort.
please help
