Actually..no. On Vista (on mine at least) it is found at the following location -
CUsers\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

its been driving me crazy.. when i go to Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates.. i dont even have the AppData folder.. how do i find it??????
08-11-2009, 11:41 PM #10In case any Mac users are looking:
/Users/USERNAME/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/
Putting compatible firmware in this folder will cause iTunes to use it instead of looking for it online.
If you're on XP
AppData = abbreviation for Application Data
make sure you have "Show hidden files and folders" enabled in Tools-->Folder Options-->View
if XP not please list OS

Im using Windows 7 and iTunes saves your backups in
CUsers\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
and iTunes saves the firmware in
CUsers\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
**this is for iPhone only as u can see it says iPhone software updates**

If you have trouble finding the folder on Windows 7, type %appdata% inside the search bar then proceed to \Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
09-17-2011, 01:30 AM #19
for windows 7
CUsers\ansar\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
