12-28-2007, 11:52 AM #1Jailbreaking on 1.1.2 Issue
Does anyone have a copy of the 1.1.2 version of the update as normally linked to here: http://www.touchdev.net/wiki/Decrypt_Firmware
it is mentioned in the excellent Youtube tutorial called How to Jail Break the Apple iTouch on version 1.1.2(part1) but it seems the touchdev site is down.
any assistance appreciated.

I have what you're looking for. I just jailbroke my iPod touch yesterday using that wiki page, so they must have pulled it soon.
I can't say that I recommend actually using the 1.1.2 jailbreak...unless you're DYING for the voice memos (if you have an iPod touch it wouldnt matter anyways), the calendar fix is available for 1.1.1 through installer.app
I bricked my iPod touch on the 1.1.2 jailbreak that you're asking for (could explain why it was pulled maybe?) see the thread two below yours for details on what happened to me.
If you really would still like the file, I'll put up the .zip later.
You'll have to wait until late tonight, as I wont be back home for a while.

Yeah, for completeness that would be great, I realise that 1.1.2 doesn't fix anything that I especially need but it would be nice to be to teh laterst firmware.

Unfortunately, the file is larger than I am allowed to upload.
The file listed on that site is identical to the one that I downloaded from the wiki page, so it shouldn't be a problem.
p.s. watchout for certain apps on 1.1.2, i had problems with screenshot v1.2.1 app in particular
i've "bricked" my ipod touch many times, and was able to recover, sometimes keeping music and video and app files intact. Let me know if you have issues with the 1.1.2 jailbreak.

Can anyone please help me. I accidently upgraded my phone to 1.1.2. I work off a Mac and have AT&T service. I have tried every guide, every video and I just can't get it. I get all the way to 1.1.1 but I have no phone or internet service on my phone. I just can't seem to get it. Please someone help me!!!

You won't get the phone service back until you're on 1.1.2 again. Be sure to dl the oktoprep package, then upgrade to 1.1.2 and it should work. It's not working because you aren't finished yet. Also you should keep phone questions in phone sections, the firmware caN be a little different aNd lead to problems that will be hard for people to help you with cause they'll assume you have the right fw.
