I HOPE THIS IS ALLOWED IF NOT PLEASE DON'T BAN ME I WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP OUT.

CHAPTER 1 -- RESTORING

1. Connect your iTouch to your computer.

2. iTunes will soon pop-up if you have it set to do that. (IF NOT OPEN iTunes MANUALLY)

3. Go to where the name of your iTouch is. (UNDER DEVICES)

4. Now information will come up now you are going to want to hit Restore (THIS OPTION WILL DELETE ALL CURRENT MEMORY OFF YOUR IPOD)

5. If it asks you a question like "Would you like to backup your iPod?" Click Do not Backup

6. Let the iPod restore and go on to the next chapter.

CHAPTER 2 -- JAILBREAKING

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS CHAPTER:

iLiberty (Mac OS X edition) -- iLibertyX 1.51

iLiberty (Windows edition) -- iLiberty+ for Windows

1. Download the iLiberty that corresponds with your Operating System.

2. Connect your iTouch to your computer using your sync cable.

3. Run iLiberty.

4. Since you are using an iPod touch you don't need to change any information so you can just go ahead and hit Free my (your touch kind here)!

5. Let the iPod do all the coding and scrolling while you just sit back and relax. be sure to keep iLiberty up though because then you will figure out when it is done.

6. After it is done turn your iPod on and make sure installer is one of your apps.

7. Now you are good to go onto the next chapter.

CHAPTER 3 -- PREVENTING TYPING FREEZES

1. Turn on your iPod and go to the Contacts app that comes with your iPod.

2. Pretend to add a contact. Type a name that takes 10 seconds to type (IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S A NAME OR NOT)

3. Hit cancel and the hit the home button.

4. Go into installer. Hit Install. Then hit All Packages. Find and Download BSD Subsystem and BSD Subsystem 2.0 (THERES SOMETHING AFTER 2.0 BUT I FORGET WHAT IT IS)

5. Go back into contacts do the same thing you did for step 2.

6. Go back into installer hit Sources. Hit Edit. Then hit Add. Type in a random sourse but do not hit ok.

7. If your iPod does not freeze while you are typing it never will.

now my ipod touch is f++++++ up

it now gets an error x8000002 or some **** like that when i connect my ipod touch to itunes

It really isn't that hard. For me, all I did was restore to 1.1.4, then used iLiberty+.

Easier to use PwnageTool or QuickPwn (Mac) or WinPwn or QuickPwn (windows).I think all are available on the ModMyI downloads page, but if they're not....use the power of google. Dont double post. And we're sorry you have to go.
