Jailbreak iPod Touch 1.1.2?

Is it possible to jailbreak an iPod Touch with 1.1.2 without first downgrading to 1.1.1? If so, can someone post a link.
All the methods I've found involve downgrading back to 1.1.1 first.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible (at least right now). Downgrading isn't really that hard though, it just takes you ~20 minutes to do the whole jailbreaking process.

But do you loose your data (i.e. songs etc) when you downgrade?
And do you know of a good guide to downgrade and then upgrade to 1.1.2? I got an error last time i tried to upgrade to 1.1.2 through iTunes.

Your iTouch will be restored, so yes all data on it will be erased. But as long as you have all you need on your pc then there's no worry.

Funny thing is that when i did this it said i was not connected to my pc but the process continued and went fine. So if you get errors if might just be a false alarm.
