You jailbreak it and install Installer.app on the iPod Touch. From Installer, you can install as many 3rd party apps as you want

i just bought an ipod touch 32GB i can't install jailbreak do i need to downgrade it or something ? because i went to the site jailbreakme.com which all you need to do is go to the bottom and press install and thats what i did but it brings me to a blank page and i waited for like 5 mins and nothing happen.. can you help me ?

You need to get your Ipod into a DFU mode or you can go on youtube and search for 1.1.4 downgrade and do what they say. Then get to 1.1.1 and go to jailbreakme.com
