edit calendars!
A couple of iPod Touch hackers (Nicholas "Drudge" Penree and Tony Hoyle) have discovered how to add/edit events to your calendar.app on your iPod Touch! First, you will have to have a jailbroken iTouch (read the other threads in this forum), then simply add these two lines to your N45AP.plist file:
The plist is found at /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/N45AP.plist<key>editableUserData</key>
<true/>

Does it matter where these lines are dropped?

This is rich... I remember reading somewhere that some apple engineer said that the non-editable calendar was "a bug that is still being worked out."
Hmm, if Apple engineers take this long to work out a bug that simple then maybe Apple has more problems than we realize.

Need Help
Ok. I have jailbroke my ipod touch and have installed other 3rd party apps. But, I can't edit calendar events. I tried looking for the file in this thread to add the two lines, but "springboard" doesn't exist on my machine.
Please help me getting this function to work. Apple drives me crazy!

What program in the installer is it? I can't find it. The Touch is jailbroken and everything is working great, but I'd like the calendar edit hack also. Please let me know. Thanks.

In the Installer (Nullriver) it's "Touch Calendar Fix" under Install->Tweaks. I had to update Sources to get this listing.
It seems to work correctly. New and modified calendar events get synced back through iTunes to Outlook.
Amazing!

Sorry, I may be missing something, but I'm looking at my iPod Touch's calendar right now and I just added and edited an event? Are you guys talking about editing events that have been synced from iTunes?
