Update iOS

I have done a jailbreak on a iPod touch second gen. The iOS is 4.2.1.., I rad some where that there is a way to update it to a higher iOS since its been jail broken... Is that true is so how.... I can't find where I read that at... Thanks

It's a iPod 2. 4.2.1 is as high as it can go with iTunes... But I read somewhere there was a site that could upgrade it since it has been jail broken

Sorry, but nope.
The last available version was 4.2.1 - and 4.x is already somewhat crippled on the 2G to begin with.
However, there IS a "new" firmware, cobbled together from 4.2.1 with a few hacks and tweaks,
that supports many of the features of newer firmware.

Whited00r - and it may or may not work the way you'd like. But it IS jailbroken. And most people seem to find it an improvement.

You can't go past 4.2.1. But I've heard Whited00r has been tweaked to emulate features of 5.x and even 6.x.

Actually, the latest Whited00r only supports MB models of the 2g.
Is yours MB or MC?
