The 3rd gen ipt can't be fully jailbreak yet. Just hope it comes out soon

Is there a way that if you jailbreak it you can get the apps through the computer and not through the ipods wifi?

I have a 32g 3g touch that I fully jaibroke with blackrain just the same as my 3gs iPhone and the only problem was after installing winterboard it crashed and I just rejailbrok it and everything now works perfect.

UPDATE soon? I mean, who uses 1.1.4 anymore? At that stage, the lack of features really outweighs the freedom.
