Home button.
I don't know if anybody else is experiencing this but ever since I've got my iPT 4, the home button seems unresponsive at times. It's always been like this, jailbroken or not. My 2nd Gen iPod was never like this. Is there a fix for this? I think it might be having something to do with the iOS multitasking but I'm not sure. That is just my only idea why it's not being responsive sometimes.

The lag due to a ton of apps might be the problem. To calibrate the button go to settings hold the power button untilthe "slide to power off"menu shows then hold the home button

I do that sometimes but it doesn't seem to help. It does happen when a lot of apps are running which is why I think it's something to do with the multitasking. But even still, sometimes I just press the home button once, just once, and the multitask bar open up.

The iTouch 4G seems to be more fragile than it's older sisters. When I first bought mine I apparently pressed the screen too hard and a dark spot appeared in that area. Also, once I had that one replaced the new one I have now has developed a homescreen button issue. I have to press hard in certain areas on the button in order to get it to respond. So I guess it's just more sensitive than the older models.

Try loading an app like stocks or weather then try holding the power button till it says slide to power off, then press and hold the home button

I already do that and it works for a couple of tries but then it go back to crap. I find it kind of annoying because somedays it's better than others. Every once in a while I have to result to using an activator shortcut to quit out of an app.

Havin the same problem. Cydia, more times than not, takes upwards of thirty seconds to close. If i hit the home button twice, 30 seconds later, the switcher will pop up. Im almost beginning to miss my ipt3g. The RAM hardly flinched when i had 27 mobile substrate dylibs running, as opposed to the the ipt4g, which at best gets to about 90mb of RAM with no backround apps running. I do have upwards of 100 apps installed though. This home button lag is beginning to drive me insane.
