    Anyone know if the new generation of iPod is going to be announced in the upcoming Apple presentation of the iPad 3 on February 24, 2012?

    Probably not. Apple usually releases new iPods in the fall.

    I hope a new iPod is announced. I was expecting the white iPod to have better specs or something

    Well, according to Macrumors, Apple is probably launching the iPad 3 on the same date. I have a Touch which I would like to upgrade and thought that it is time for Apple to release the next gen. It's already been a while since they released the 4S in any case.

    Me too - I thought that it would be a bit of an improvement, like the 4S. This is why i did not buy the white Touch once it came out - it is technically the same device, not to speak of the same generation.
