ipod touch not turning on

my ipod touch wouldnt turn on, believe its gen 2

tried soft reset and also plugged it into my laptop which isnt recognizing it??

any idea what this could be?? it was working all fine before this..

Try pressing the home+power button for 10-20 seconds, see if it reboot back to life

What caused the not turning on? If you are tethered and your battery died you will need to "boot tethered". My other test is just as wudzwoody said with the 2 buttons.
