    Default Language packs

Ok so I'm running really low on memory and I need to delete unnecessary language packs. Please somebody help! I know it involves using mobile terminal and something else (which I don't know what it is). Help!

Here's an old thread that will help:

[LIST] Language Packages to Delete on 3.0 :: Increased Performance

It's bit dated, the but same concept applies to 4.x.

I use this command to find everything first
find / -type d -name "*.lproj" -not -iname "en*.lproj" -not -iname English.lproj -print

Wait do I have to delete everything manually? Isn't there something in cydia which you activate thru terminal that gives you a list of which ones you want/don't want?

Deleting language packs is frequently followed by 'oh crap, help!! My phone won't boot '

It's very easy to make a mistake and deleted a critical component. For this reason MMi hesitates to make this readily available to the novice user.

For the more experienced user, all the keys to make your own are in the thread

And for the inexperienced user, the amount of space you'd save by removing the translated language packs isn't worth the risk of accidentally flubbing it and breaking your phone.
