is there a case for the ipod touch 2g that has an iphone 3g or 3gs backing. its cause i like my ipod thicker like the iphone 3g. if not can i modify a back plate of an iphone 3g put an adapter in it to make it compatible with the ipod touch so theres no space and it protects my ipod also

Ummm I think your best shot is getting a case with a battery pack cuz it makes it pretty thick... Idk if they make it for iPod 2G tho

Totally agree. Otterbox cases will keep your device fully protected if you get the defender series. And it does give your device more bulk. People think my iPT 4 is an iPhone because of the case. Which is fine by me because it makes the device more comfy to hold.
